Charles Woods, MD

Dr. Charles Woods is from Valdosta, Georgia and graduated with Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and did an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Woods, a board-certified radiation oncologist, has practiced in the Atlanta area as a member of Radiation Oncology Services since 2013. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Griffin Radiation Oncology Center in Griffin, Georgia and also performs GammaKnife radiosurgery procedures for brain tumors at Piedmont Atlanta. Dr. Woods is well trained in the current radiation techniques including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), sterotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and GammKnife radiosurgery. He treats all types of cancers and has a special interest in head and neck, lung, and breast cancer. Dr. Woods enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and SCUBA diving.
