Ankit Agarwal, MD

Ankit Agarwal, MD, is a radiation oncologist. He uses radiation therapy to treat patients who have cancer, including cancers of the prostate, breast, lung, skin, head and neck, and gastrointestinal system.

Dr. Agarwal meets his patients where they are, educates them about their conditions and treatment options, and strives to empower them to make decisions that align with their values. He works to find creative ways to blend individual preferences with cutting-edge knowledge and resources.

He explains, "My passion for radiation oncology stems from the ability to personalize care using advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies. Seeing how personalized treatments can profoundly impact my patients' lives is immensely fulfilling."

Active in research, Dr. Agarwal has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading oncology journals, such as JAMA Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. His research and publications focus on health policy, prostate cancer and breast cancer.

Dr. Agarwal speaks fluent English and conversational Hindi.

Outside of work, Dr. Agarwal has earned his 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has written multiple articles that were published in international foreign affairs journals. He's an avid traveler and has visited more than 40 countries. Dr. Agarwal also enjoys spending time outdoors, beer-tasting, playing board games and dancing.
