Justin Daniel Kappel, MD

Dr. Kappel is an Atlanta native who grew up in the Buckhead neighborhood and attended the Westminster Schools. He earned his medical degree from Emory University in 2017 along with a Masters in Public Health focusing on the health impacts of “social determinants” such as lifestyle, social situation, and stress. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Washington while also obtaining a special certification to perform medical acupuncture. In 2023, he completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Tuscon, Arizona and specializes in Integrative Medicine and Medical Acupuncture.

Dr. Kappel offers comprehensive, holistic primary care combining the best of modern medical treatments, patient-centered care, and integrative approaches such as acupuncture and mind-body medicine. With every patient, he aims to find the right treatment for the right patient at the right moment in their journey, blending the best of conventional and alternative approaches.

Dr. Kappel enjoys reading, hiking, and yoga. He travels as often as possible with his wife and helps her take care of their two middle-aged cats.
