Barry J Roseman, MD

Barry J. Roseman, M.D. earned his Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley. After attending medical school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he completed a General Surgery Residency at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and then a two year Surgical Oncology Fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Roseman is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Roseman practiced Surgical Oncology in Knoxville for 16 years, then moved his practice to Atlanta to focus exclusively on his two areas of expertise: Breast Surgery and Melanoma Surgery. His experience in treating Breast Cancer and Melanoma is extensive, over 3500 patients treated while in practice. Dr. Roseman's practice philosophy is as follows: provide personalized and accessible care for every patient. He knows that patients diagnosed with cancer or suspected of having cancer want to be seen immediately. Being in solo practice gives Dr. Roseman the independence and flexibility to work new patients in quickly, and to spend as much time as necessary with them and their families to explain everything and to adequately reassure them. Dr. Roseman has three offices, in Buckhead, Marietta, and Lithia Springs. He operates at Piedmont Hospital and Piedmont West Surgery Center, at Kennestone Hospital, and other Atlanta facilities. He participates in the Piedmont/Wellstar Health Plans and is a member of the Piedmont Clinic. He and his wife Susan reside in Sandy Springs, and have two sons in college in Massachusetts. Prior to Medical School he was a Music Major, and he continues to perform professionally as a Jazz Violinist.
