Abraham Mathai, MD, PhD

Abraham Mathai, MD, PhD is a board-certified internist and pediatrician. He earned his medical degree and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, from Tulane University. He served as a Chief Resident of his residency program and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical society. Before becoming a physician, he completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Emory University.

Dr. Mathai loves seeing patients of all ages – from new born babies to centenarians – with a strong focus on preventative medicine. Armed with a curious and scientific bent of mind, he analyzes medical cases with a thorough approach. He enjoys treating diverse conditions across all organ systems, and believes that a comprehensive outlook is critical for better outcomes.

Dr. Mathai is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
