Dennis M Melton, MD

Dr. Melton joined AbsoluteCARE in January of 2012. He earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. His fellowship was conducted in Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama. Also, he is a Certified Wound Specialist with the American Academy of Wound Management. Dr. Melton has served as Medical Director of the Outpatient Wound Care Center of Piedmont Fayette Hospital for three years. His devotion to helping persons affected by HIV is evidenced by his involvement with community AIDS service organizations, such as serving as the current Chairman of the Board of Directors for ARCA (AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta), Past Medical Director of AID Atlanta's HIV Primary Care Clinic, and Men's STD Clinic, and Past Board Member for AID Atlanta and Jerusalem House.
