Dale Crawford Holly, MD

A native of Arkansas, Dr. Holly is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in zoology with a minor in chemistry. He received his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Following his internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at St. Louis University Health Sciences Center in St. Louis, Mo. While there, he was mentored by Dr. Bruce R. Bacon, one of the world's foremost authorities in the field of hepatology, specifically hemochromatosis. Before joining Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2000, Dr. Holly was in private practice in Jackson, Tennessee. Dr. Holly is a diplomate of the American Subspecialty Board of Gastroenterology and is a member of numerous medical associations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. His areas of interest include diseases of the biliary tract, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology.
