James Minnis, MD

Dr. James Minnis is a highly skilled general surgeon with more than a decade of experience in the field. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures, with a focus on robotic surgery techniques, that allow for more surgical precision, reduced recovery times and improved patient outcomes.

Throughout his career, Dr. Minnis has remained dedicated to advancing surgical practices and ensuring the highest standards of care for his patients. He continually seeks innovative approaches to care and stays at the forefront of evolving advancements and techniques.

Dr. Minnis values clear communication with his patients. He explains, "It's my responsibility to help patients understand their conditions, procedures and recovery."

Raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Minnis remained in California after completing his training at Stanford University and went on to practice in Marin County for 12 years. He is happy to return to the South Bay/Peninsula to serve his home community.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Minnis enjoys time with his friends and family - whether sharing food, travelling, or listening to music. He loves cooking, exercising and sports. You can also find him hiking, fishing, and attending his children's sporting events.
