Aparna Mukkamala, MD

Aparna Mukkamala, MD, is a primary care doctor. She diagnosis and treats a wide variety of acute (sudden) medical issues and helps patients manage chronic (long-term) conditions.

Dr. Mukkamala listens carefully, explains things clearly and encourages patients to participate in their care. She explains, "I've found that when patients feel heard and supported, it really makes a difference in their overall experience and outcomes."

She has been in practice since 2007 and remains passionate about her work. She appreciates the opportunity to support people, especially during vulnerable times. She says, "I like connecting with people, hearing their stories and working together to help them feel better and stay healthy."

Dr. Mukkamala was drawn to El Camino Health because of its strong reputation for excellent patient care and its supportive, team-oriented culture. She recalls, "During my interview process, it really stood out to me how everyone I met was so welcoming and genuinely passionate about what they do."

In addition to English, she is fluent in Telugu and Hindi.

Outside of work, Dr. Mukkamala likes traveling and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys peaceful walks in parks and gardens to recharge and stay balanced.
